When I decided to start training I had one goal—to lose weight. Little did I know that when Nathalie offered to help me, I would begin an incredible journey.

At first, I was scared and intimated training with her. She had me using weights and doing exercises that I had not done before. She chipped away at every preconceived notion I had about why I couldn’t do a particular exercise. Shortly after starting to train with Nathalie, I started seeing results. I had two foot surgeries and throughout the recovery time we kept training. “She will not let you give up when she knows you can do something.” Now I look forward to my training with Nathalie. Her sessions are always different and always a challenge, never boring. I have lost a lot of weight and a lot of inches, but I have gained so much more—strength, stamina, flexibility, better posture, self-esteem and most importantly better health. Everyone asks, “What’s your secret?” I have one answer, “Nathalie!”

Initially, I began training with Nathalie figuring that I would use the 2 free sessions I received for signing up at my gym and that would be the end. I figured that having played competitive sports the better part of my life I knew all I needed to know about lifting and stretching, but not ten minutes in to my first session I knew I was wrong. More than a year and a half later I still meet with Nathalie at least once a week. Due to her training guidance, I am more than 30 lbs lighter than before I started yet far stronger and more importantly I am in much better cardiovascular health. Her knowledge and emphasis on stretching and muscle balance has enabled me to avoid re-aggravating my old knee, ankle and shoulder injuries that have plagued me for years and enable me to cycle and run on a consistent basis. I notice a difference in myself when I am not able to train with her so I am certain that I will continue my regiment.

I appreciate the opportunity to comment on my training experience with Nathalie Abellan. Let me start by saying I have never felt stronger, healthier or more fit in my life. When I came to work with Nathalie, I had not worked out in a long time and had lost strength, muscle tone and overall fitness. She developed a program for me that keeps me constantly challenged and never bored. Every session is different….even going twice a week….and I consistently find that I am capable of so much more than I ever imagined. Nathalie pushes me hard but never more than I can handle. My confidence has grown tremendously and my children say I have developed Madonna arms which I understand is a good thing. Nathalie is a masterful trainer, very professional, always on time, never misses a session, is flexible when I need to change a time and always communicates via email or telephone.
